A data protection officer has not been appointed, as the legal requirements are currently not met (Art. 37 GDPR).
2. Terms & Legal Basis
- Personal Data means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (Art. 4 No. 1 GDPR).
- Processing means any operation performed on personal data (Art. 4 No. 2 GDPR).
- Legal Basis: Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a (consent), lit. b (contract/initiation), lit. c (legal obligation), lit. f (legitimate interest) GDPR.
- TTDSG: Consent according to Section 25 (1) TTDSG is required for setting/reading non-technically necessary cookies.
3. Hosting & Server Log Data
Our website is operated on our own dedicated server at Hetzner Online GmbH, Germany. The servers are located within the EU.
When you access our website, the following data is automatically processed:
- IP address
- Date and time of access
- Referrer URL
- Browser type and operating system
- Accessed resources
Purpose: Operation, security, error analysis.
Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR.
Storage period: 7–30 days.
4. Cookies & Consent Management
We use a consent management system. Non-technically necessary technologies are only activated with your consent.
- Technically necessary: Session, language, booking context (Section 25 (2) TTDSG).
- Analytics & Marketing: only with consent (Section 25 (1) TTDSG, Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR).
- Revocation: possible at any time via “Cookie Settings” in the footer.
5. Google Analytics 4 (GA4)
We use Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd.).
- IP anonymization activated
- Storage period for event data: max. 14 months
- Data transfer to the USA takes place based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework
Legal basis: Consent (Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR).
6. Google Ads & Campaign Tracking
We use Google Ads to promote our tours.
When clicking on an ad, the following parameters may be processed:
- utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign
- campaignid / utm_id
- utm_term, utm_content
- gclid, gbraid, wbraid
These parameters are used for campaign attribution and success measurement.
With your consent, selected attribution parameters can be stored for up to 30 days in a first-party cookie to attribute later bookings to the original campaign.
Legal basis: Consent (Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR; Section 25 TTDSG).
7. Microsoft Clarity
We use Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd.).
Clarity analyzes anonymized usage data (scroll behavior, clicks, heatmaps) to optimize user-friendliness.
- Form inputs are masked
- No recording of sensitive content
- Data processing agreement with Microsoft exists
- Data transfer may occur based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework

8. Booking System (Recras)
We use Recras B.V., Netherlands, for processing bookings.
Processed data:
- Name
- Contact details
- Booking information
- Payment status
Legal basis: Contract fulfillment (Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR).
9. Payment Service Provider
Payments are processed via Mollie B.V., Netherlands.
Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR.
10. Sharing with service partners & freelance guides
To provide the services you book, we work with selected service partners. Where necessary to fulfil the contract, we share the required personal data with them.
- Restaurants and beer houses (e.g. to reserve tables)
- Event and experience partners (e.g. providers of axe throwing or other add-on services)
- Freelance guides who run a booked tour on our behalf
Only the data required to deliver the booked service is shared, in particular:
- Name of the person booking
- Date and time
- Number of participants
- Booked service or tour details
- If applicable, contact details for organisational queries
Purpose of processing: Carrying out pre-contractual measures and fulfilling the contract.
Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR.
Freelance guides act either as independent controllers or—where contractually agreed—as service providers bound by instructions. Any further use of the data for their own marketing purposes is not permitted.
